Using custom fields in weekly timesheets
When the setting is enabled, custom fields appear below the Notes textbox in the weekly timesheet entry. They behave like the Notes field and are only visible when you click into a time entry cell.
Supported field types: text, multi-line, decimal, number, checkbox, date, link and dropdown.
Completing required custom fields
If a custom field is marked required, it must be completed before the time entry can be saved.
- Attempting to leave a cell or page with incomplete required fields highlights the field in red and displays an orange flag.
- A warning modal appears if you try to navigate away with incomplete required fields — you must either complete the fields or discard your changes.
Autosave and drafts
- Entries are autosaved when you click outside a field or move to another cell/page.
- Draft values are retained so you can continue editing later.
- Refreshing the page or discarding changes removes incomplete entries.
Design and usability
- Custom fields are visually aligned with the Notes field for a consistent experience.
