Entering a time credit adds a negative time to a time sheet for a staff member. The time is displayed in red to distinguish it from a normally entered time.
You can enter a time credit for yourself or for another staff member.
To enter a time credit for yourself:
- On the Dashboard screen, select + Quick Add > Enter weekly timesheet.
- On the Enter weekly timesheet screen, select Options > Enter Time Credit.
- In the Time Credit dialog, enter the details of the time credit. For details of what each field is for, see the Data fields reference section, below.
- Save your changes.
To enter a time credit for another staff member:
To enter a time credit for other staff members you need Full Access to the Financial privilege in your Staff settings.
- From the navigation bar, select > .
- Drill down on the name of the staff member concerned.
- In the <name>Timesheet screen, + Enter Timesheet drop-down list, select Enter Time Credit.
- In the Time Credit dialog, enter the details of the time credit. For details of what each field is for, see the Data fields reference section, below.
- Save your changes.
Data fields reference

| Date |
Select the required date in the drop-down calendar. Today's date is the default date. |
| Job | The job that the credit will be recorded against. By default, jobs are displayed in the drop-down list in alphabetical order of client name. Jobs can be displayed in job-number order by changing the Organisation Settings > Timesheets section > Job Order setting. |
| Task | The specific task in the selected job that the credit will be recorded against. By default, tasks are displayed in the drop-down list in alphabetical order of task name. Tasks can be displayed in the order they occur in the job by changing the Organisation Settings > Timeheets section > Task Order setting. |
| Time Credit |
The amount of time for the credit. Time entry for time credits is always duration (hours and minutes), regardless of the Entry Mode setting (see below).

The Billable toggle switch is visible only if the staff member has the Financial Privileges > Flag time sheet entries as billable or non-billable at time of entry option selected. This switch controls whether the staff member can choose to flag each time sheet entry as billable |
