Create a lead category
To create a lead category Lead categories are used to group leads for reporting purposes. For example, they could be used to identify the probability of a lead becoming a job: Hot, Warm, Cold, or the type of work this lead relates to: Website, Brochure, Annual accounts, Property maintenance. :
- On the toolbar click the Settings
icon.
- On the General Settings tab, make sure that the Lead Settings section is selected.
- On the Lead Settings screen, make sure that the Lead Category tile is selected.
- Click the + Create New Lead Category button.
- On the Add Lead Category dialog, fill in the lead category details. For more information about each field, see the Data fields reference section below.
- Save your changes.
Edit a lead category
To edit a lead category:
- On the toolbar click the Settings
icon.
- On the General Settings tab, make sure that the Lead Settings section is selected.
- On the Lead Settings screen, make sure that the Lead Category tile is selected.
- Drill down on the name of the lead category you wish to edit.
- On the Edit Lead Category dialog, edit the lead category details. For more information about each field, see the Data fields reference section below.
- Save your changes.
Data fields reference
Field | Description |

Name |
The name of the new lead category. This name will appear in the Category drop-down list when you are creating a new lead. Type in a suitable name. |
Colour |
The colour that will be used to display this category of leads in the leads Dashboard. Click in the Colour field then do one of the following:
