Apply markup to quote or estimate costs

The markup specified here will override (for existing costs on the current quote or estimate only):

• the default cost markup percentage set in > Settings > Cost section > Markup %, and
• any markup set on individual costs by using the Calculate Markup option on the New Quote or New Estimate Cost screen (for details, see Add or edit costs on a quote or estimate).

To override the cost markup percentage:

1. If required, navigate to the quote or estimate details screen:
   1. In the Business menu, select Quotes.
   2. On the Quotes screen, Draft tile, drill down on quote number of the draft quote or estimate you want to work with.
2. In the quote or estimate details screen, Costs section, select the checkbox for each cost that you wish to apply a markup to.
3. Click % Apply markup.
4. In the Apply markup dialog, specify the new markup value you wish to use (the default value is displayed).

   If you add new costs after applying this markup, the new costs will use the default markup.

5. Click Calculate to apply the markup percentage. The specified markup is applied to selected costs in the Costs section of the quote or estimate.
6. Save your changes, if prompted.
