Use these instructions to delete documents from when there is a document management system (DMS) enabled.
If a DMS is not enabled, use the instructions: Delete a document.
Before you begin
You need to access your DMS directly to delete documents - it's not possible to delete them from within . For this reason, you need to have suitable credentials available to allow you to delete the required file (or files) from your DMS.
Deleting a document
To delete a document from the Documents tab after you have enabled a DMS:
- Open the Documents tab.

Jobs
- Select Jobs > Jobs.
- Drill down on the job number of the job you wish to work with.
- Select the Documents tab.

Clients
- Select Clients.
- Drill down on the name of the client you wish to work with.
- Select the Documents tab.

Quotes or estimates
- Select Business > Quotes.
- On the All Quotes tab, drill down on the number of the quote or estimate you wish to work with.
- Select the Documents tab.

Suppliers
- Select Business > Suppliers.
- Drill down on the name of the supplier you wish to work with.
- Select the Documents tab.

Leads
- Select Business > Leads.
- On the All Leads tab, drill down on the name of the lead you wish to work with.
- Select the Documents tab.

Jobs
- If required, navigate through any sub-folders until you find the document (or documents) you wish to delete.
- Take note of the location and filename of the file (or files) that you wish to delete.
- Open a new tab in your browser and log in to your DMS directly.
- Locate and delete the file (or files) you identified in Step 3.
