Changing your MFA Settings

This article covers the instructions for changing the MFAMulti-factor authentication (MFA) is a security process that uses at least two different factors, something you know (your password) and something you have (mobile device), before you can enter your account. settings in your WorkflowMax account. Turn off MFA

You can temporarily turn off MFA but if you’re required to set up MFA before you can use WorkflowMax, you’ll be prompted to set it up again when you next login.

  1. Click your initials or profile image at the top-right of the screen, then select Account. The Xero | Account Settings screen opens in a new tab.
  2. Click the three dots menu on the Multi-factor authentication row, and select Turn off multi-factor authentication.
  3. Enter the code from your authenticator app, then click Disable. If you don’t have access to your authenticator app, click Use another authentication method.

Change your backup email address

You can change your backup email address to another address. It needs to be different to the one you use to log in to WorkflowMax.

To change your backup email address:

  1. Click your initials or profile image at the top-right of the screen, then select Account. The Xero | Account Settings screen opens in a new tab.
  2. On the Backup email address row, click Change.
  3. Choose an authentication method, then follow the steps on screen to authenticate yourself.
  4. Enter your new backup email address, then click Continue.
  5. Go to the inbox for your new backup email address and open the email from Xero. Enter the code shown in the email, then click Confirm email then Finish.
  6. Close the Xero | Account Settings tab to navigate back to your WorkflowMax tab. Alternatively, if you want to continue working in the new tab, you can click Back to WorkflowMax at top-left of the screen.

Change the authenticator app you use

You can change the app you use to authenticate yourself when you log in to WorkflowMax. We recommend Xero Verify for quick and easy authentication using push notifications.

To change the app you use.

  1. Click your initials or profile image at the top-right of the screen, then select Account. The Xero | Account Settings screen opens in a new tab.
  2. On the Connected device row, click Change.
  3. Choose an authentication method, then follow the steps on screen to authenticate yourself.
  4. Choose an authenticator app.
  5. Follow the steps on screen to install or set up the app.
  6. Click Go to Dashboard.
  7. Close the Xero | Account Settings tab to navigate back to your WorkflowMax tab. Alternatively, if you want to continue working in the new tab, you can click Back to WorkflowMax at top-left of the screen.
