Sending an Email Message Direct to a Quote, Estimate or Job

The Collaboration Manager allows you to capture email messages directly against quotes, estimates and jobs.

The email messages will appear on the Notes tab of the receiving quote, estimate or job. Any attachments appear on the Documents tab.

Before you begin

Before you can use the Collaboration Manager to capture an email against a quote, estimate or job, you need to configure (or at least view) the email address to use. For further details, see Configuring the collaboration manager.

You will also need to know the quote number or job number of the quote/estimate or job that you wish to send the email to.

Sending an email

To send an email (with attachments, if required) to a quote, estimate or job:

  1. Prepare an email message addressed to the email address of the Collaboration Manager. You can send, forward, copy (CC) or blind copy (BCC) the email when you are ready.
  2. In the email's Subject line, include the quote or job number.
  3. Send the message.
