New to WorkflowMax? Please take a few minutes to discover more about this support centre before Getting started with WorkflowMax.
The WorkflowMax support centre uses the following interface features and conventions.
You might also find it helpful to look at the conventions and symbols used in WorkflowMax to show various status settings and options.
|Navigation menus. Use the support centre menus to navigate directly to topics of interest under any of the five categories. By browsing the menus you can get a clear idea of the overall scope of the material in the support centre.|
|Side menu (on sub-pages only). Use the side menu to navigate to related topics within the current section of the support centre. The name of the currently displayed topic is shown in bold text. Children of the current topic are indented. Click the name of the parent topic to go up a level in the menu.|
Search box. For help on a specific term or phrase, type it into the Search box and press Enter (or select the Submit icon).
There are a number of search filters available. The default is to search all files in the support centre, but you can select a filter from the drop-down list to limit the search to a specific area, such as topics that contain videos.
If you need to find an exact phrase, such as "staff settings", enclose the phrase in double quotes. That will find each occurrence of the required phrase ("staff settings") rather than all occurrences of the individual words "staff" and "settings".
|Use the Print button to print the current help topic.|
Use the Expand/Collapse all button to show (or hide) all the hidden text in the current topic. See Drop-down text and Expanding text below.
|Remove Highlights||After a successful search for a keyword, all matching text is highlighted in yellow. If you are searching for a phrase, several colours will be used to highlight matches of individual words in the phrase. Use the Remove Highlights button to clear the highlights.|
This text is hidden until you drop it down.
|Drop-down text. Some topics include drop-down areas that contain more detailed information. This detail is hidden until you open the drop-down area by selecting the icon or text.|
|This text is hidden until you expand it||
Expanding text. Use this button to show a brief tip, usually about a link to another topic. The tip is hidden until you open the expanding text by selecting the icon.
|Data field name||In the support centre, the names of WorkflowMax menu items, buttons and data fields are shown in bold text.|
|Required field name||
In the support centre, the names of WorkflowMax mandatory (required) data fields are shown in bold red text.
In the WorkflowMax interface, these mandatory fields are flagged with a red asterisk (*).
|Unchangeable data field name||In the support centre, the names of data fields that relate to data that cannot be changed are show in bold grey text.|
|[on-screen feature]||A brief description of an on-screen feature that is referred to in the help text but does not have a specific title, such as the [calendar] used to enter milestone dates.|

|Video (opens in new tab). Some help topics include short video clips that provide an audio-visual presentation of the information relating to the help topic itself. Just select the link then play the video.|
|option > option||
To reduce the number of steps in some instructions in this support centre, the ">" symbol is used as shorthand for selecting a sequence of options. For example, the instruction:
In the Business menu, select Invoices > + New > New Progress Invoice.
means that after selecting Invoices in the Business menu, you should then select + New and finally select New Progress Invoice (from the drop-down menu, in this example).
|or||Checkbox terminology. A checkbox is either selected or deselected to identify which options are required in WorkflowMax.|
